Nova Impact Africa , organizers of the Ghana Youth Tech Summit has announced a strategic partnership with the Ghana Internet Safety Foundation (GISF) to equip African students with the tools and expertise to address pressing online safety challenges and promote trust and safety across the continent through the Trust and Safety Academy.
Trust and Safety Academy Fellowship is an initiative aimed at equipping young professionals with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of digital safety and online trust.
Reacting to this significant milestone, Celestina Aidoo, the communication coordinator for GYTS, believes this partnership reaffirms its commitment to advancing digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible online engagement for the youth in Ghana and beyond.
“This partnership with the Ghana Internet Safety Foundation aligns with our vision to empower young leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to foster a safe and inclusive digital space. As we witness the rapid evolution of technology, it is imperative that we prioritize digital safety education and responsible tech use,” she said.
Through the Trust and Safety Academy Fellowship, participants will undergo an intensive training program designed to enhance their understanding of internet governance, online safety, and digital rights advocacy.
In addition, the partnership will include collaboration on several initiatives such as Next-Gen Cybersecurity and Innovative Leadership Fellowship aimed to build a robust pipeline of cybersecurity leaders in Ghana, equipping youth with essential skills and leadership capacity to thrive in the tech industry.
The Ghana Youth Tech Summit, organized by Nova Impact Africa has been a driving force in technology education and youth empowerment, fostering innovation and bridging the gap between industry and academia. Through its various programs, the summit continues to provide young people with the platform to explore careers in technology, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.
